Halloween

Today is halloween. Alysia will not be going out. It's funny how many people ask me if she is going out (a lot of them christians). When Alysia get's older we will explain it better to her. But I'm not oppesed to giving out candy to the kids who come to my door. I figure when Alysia get's older we will find something else to do on that evening.

Jeff has left for toronto till friday morning. This means I will be sharing my bed with Alysia.

I was thinking yesterday about my favorite films (thanks to Zaak Robichaud's film collection). I have to say I really enjoy musical (good musicals). I find that Indian films have a music in all of them (well the one's I have seen). If you ever get the chance to watch Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham, I recommend you see it.

Everything is OK

My prayers were answered and my family is safe. The eye of the storm missed Puerto Cabezas. All my family is safe.

Here in New Brunswick it's a nice day. Jeff is mowing the lawn for the last time this year.

Feeling worried

My family lives in Nicaragua. My parents live in the capital. But most of my aunts and uncles live in Puerto Cabezas, where Beta (the hurricane is heading). I will be praying that the Lord cares for my family. I am a Miskito Indian. They have evacuated 10 000 people. Most of these people live in small houses made of wood. They will probably lose everything, and will have to start over from scratch. All I can do is pray and pray. I know that my family will be mostly safe (they have cement houses). But this will be harder to hear about (the aftermath) since it's my people who are being affected. They are already poor and this will make it even worse. I just feel like crying if I let my self think about it (but it's easier not too). It's so easy to think of other things and do other things, since I am not there. I'm here in Canada safe and sound.

I notice that so many awful things just keep happening each day that if you stop to think about them all, you could go crazy from worry and anxiety. One of the reasons I avoid the news on the tv is they show so much and I cry too easily (not that it's bad to cry, since you are acknowledging their pain).

I have now to wait for tomorrow and see what the news brings (and phone calls from my family). At the moment all I can do is pray. You pray too.

My Great News

I had dedided to share my news with only a few people. But now I'm going to share it with anyone who read my blog. Please don't tell other, just ask them to come and read my blog if they are interested.

I will be going to Toronto for 2 weeks. From November 25th to December 11th. Jeff will be in toronto my second week there. But he will be staying in a hotel. He will join Alysia and I for the last weekend.

I was just thinking that a few people probably thought that my great new is me being preggo, I AM NOT PREGNANT. But I have a new cousin (I have 50 + first cousins). Her name is Ana Cristina. The pic at the top is of her.

Getting forgetful

I notice that a lot of people say TGIF (thank God it's friday). But I have found that my day's are not that full so when friday comes I really don't mean it as much as someone in the workforce. I do enjoy the fact that Sabbath is starting.

Back to my title. I have been preparing for my program (children's church) for the first sabbath of every month. Well I thought tomorrow was the first sabbath. I am blaming this on my husband. He took down my calendar in the kitchen and replaced it with a clock. So now I know what time it is, but not what day :P.

Have a nice weekend, if anyone is reading this :).

My first Diary :)

I am wondering what it will be like to put my thought where anyone can read them. Hopefully they will not be too boring :) . I was inspired to start my own blog when I saw Amber Robichaud's blog.
