We have a Piano

We bought a piano today. It's a really good piano and it was on sale :). Jeff had to keep going to the church to use the piano to practice, but now we have our own. Alysia and I are hoping to start taking lessons in the summer. Here is a picture of our piano (a Roland HP107).

We also got the cat shaved again. She looks so funny :).

Take care and may God bless you all.

Skating

Alysia went skating with her playgroup yesterday. I was there to help :). She does not have real skates yet, only the the kind that attach to her boot. A friend gave us a stand that you can hold on to while skating (to help you balance until you learn). It was so cute to see all this 3 and 4 year old skating or attempting to skate. Quite a few of them knew how to skate and the rest where not afraid of learning.
I asked the father of another little girl if he could take Alysia and help her go really fast. She loves going fast. He said yes and Alysia enjoyed herself.

The Share Him presentation went really well. We had a good turnout from all the churches. For the next few weeks we will be busy on starting the program in our church.

Take care everyone and may God bless you.

Happy Belated Valentines Day

Nothing much happening here. I got flowers for valentines and Jeff got chocolate :). Alysia had a valentines party at her playschool so she got candy there.
I have not been doing much this week. I have discovered a new site and I have been hooked on it this past week reading stories.
Alysia is again enjoying her playschool and does not cry when she has to go to playschool.

This week at church there is a 3 hour presentation on the Share Him program. Since we will probably have visitors from the other SDA churches in the province, we are planning to have some food available, so that we can invite people over to our home for lunch.

Like I said not much has gone on this week. Our website now has the pictures and videos up.

Take care and may God bless you.

I DID IT, I FINALLY DID IT

Our vacation pictures are now on our website. It took me a while to do it. I had to go through 370 pictures and choose the right ones. I ended up with about 180. Then I had to put titles and comments on all of them. I still have to do the videos, but that's a little harder.

Alysia is now is playschool. The first 2 times she went she loved it. The third time she was crying and saying she did not want to go. I still took her, crying and all. She was fine once I left. The 4th time she went, my next door neighbour took her in. She left the house happy and when she came back she was saying she likes playschool again.

I got a call from friends today. They were letting me know that they were going to be visiting us quite a few times in the next few months (the live 5 hours away). This is good news, since they are good friends and I love to have them visiting us.

Take care everyone and may God bless each one of you.

Some new info

I received an email from my mom letting me know that my Dad got the job to be a Nicaraguan ambassador to Bolivia. We had been waiting for few weeks to find out if he had the job or not. I guess that's where my next trip will be :).

Alysia is doing great. She is now in a preschool program and loving it. The little boy next door is in the same program and he loves the fact that Alysia is with him . His mom told me this morning that he said: I like Alysia, I like it that she comes to playschool with me :). Talking about Alysia reminded me of something she did. Yesterday Jeff and I were play fighting. Alysia came up and saw us and she thought that Jeff was hurting me, she came running and crying to try and save me. It took me a minute to calm her down and to get her to stop crying. I told her daddy and mommy were just playing. Poor thing, but it's nice to know she loves me and wanted to help me.

I promise to have the pictures of Nicaragua up by Sunday night. I'm including a picture I had promised. This picture is what our bus looked like after we hit a car on our way back from Costa Rica. Take care and May God bless you.
